Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS/AZURE solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and QA.
• Maintain documentation to meet operations and business continuity requirements, including system topologies and operating instructions.
• Create and implement automation for cloud platform solutions; ensure performance and capacity standards.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix problems, and document preventive measures with focus on security and governance.
• Partner with business units to evaluate and drive adoption of new cloud capabilities and related tools.

Americo is hiring a full-time Cloud Engineer II to join our expanding team!

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer II to design, implement, automate, and support secure cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. This position participates throughout the cloud solution development lifecycle, including planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing operational support.

The ideal candidate combines hands‑on cloud engineering experience with strong troubleshooting, infrastructure automation, security, governance, and collaboration skills. This role will also work with technology and business partners to evaluate new cloud capabilities and support the continued adoption of cloud-based platforms and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS / AZURE solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
• Maintain consistent, quality documentation to meet ongoing operations and business continuity requirements. Documentation will include system topologies, operating instructions for new and changed infrastructure
• Create and implement automation in the form of infrastructure as code for cloud platform solutions. Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and Implement preventive measures. Ensure strong focus on security and governance.
• Partner with business units to evaluate and drive adoption of new capabilities for cloud adoption and related tools, services and systems.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) MS Azure expertise (e.g., EC2, account access, security groups). Maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, MS Azure, Office 365) VPC, PAAS / SAAS, VM Deployment. Storage management for S3/ Glacier, Blob
• 3+ years of network or cloud management experience in a technical support role, including – but not limited to – design, implementation, disaster recovery, and engineering. Proven ability to provide automation solutions using PowerShell, Python and JSON.
• Assist in short-term and long-term network architecture planning to meet current and expanding business requirements in collaboration with Architects and the Manager of Network Services to meet business objectives for cloud consumption
• Consistently provide high quality work in a deadline‑driven environment. Accountable for accomplihcing tasks both independently and collaboratively.
• Collaborate with peers and team. Possess tenacity and motivation for results. Ability to prioritize and account for conflicting demands.
