Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services. You will ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability for our housing platform and related systems.

Responsibilities include deploying applications, migrating workloads, and responding to incidents. A Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of cloud experience are required, with a focus on security and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or related field.
Experience documenting infrastructure and setting standards and procedures.
Experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI).
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services.
Deploy new applications to the cloud and migrate existing ones to modern cloud services.
Respond to operational issues via tickets and monitoring alerts.
Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures.
Document architecture and create SOPs for new services.
