Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cloud Engineer in the Seaside, CA area to help design, implement, and maintain secure cloud-based systems supporting the DTAC MPTA mission. You will work across engineering and cybersecurity teams to deliver scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure for testing and data processing.

The role emphasizes DevSecOps, modern cloud architectures, and RMF/compliance activities to ensure system availability and security for mission-critical applications. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years in cloud infrastructure design/ops.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Basic knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, virtualization, and storage concepts.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages used in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with system administration, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and secure cloud configurations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required DoW background investigation and IT access.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services for DTAC systems.
• Develop, deploy, and manage scalable cloud architectures for secure test delivery and data processing.
• Support cloud migration, system integration, and modernization per DoW digital initiatives.
• Configure and manage cloud resources to ensure performance, availability, and reliability.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure across environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions for automation.
• Ensure compliance with DoW cybersecurity requirements and RMF-related tasks.
• Provide technical support for cloud-based systems and field testing environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and sysadmins for secure operations.
