Job summary

Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is seeking a Cloud Engineer (TS/SCI) to operate at the center of the DoD's multi-cloud enterprise. You will coordinate with CSPs, assess change and release impacts, and guide mission partners through cloud adoption across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Job description

Cloud Engineer (TS/SCI)

Location(s): Arlington, VA (Crystal City); Fort Meade, MD; Chambersburg, PA (Letterkenny Army Depot); Ogden, UT (Hill AFB); or Oklahoma City, OK (Tinker AFB). On-site at a Government facility; limited local telework of unclassified work with Government approval.

Clearance: TS/SCI

Work at the center of the DoD's multi-cloud enterprise. You will coordinate directly with the program's Cloud Service Providers, assess change and release impacts, and guide mission partners through cloud adoption across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Prepare inputs for cloud service reviews and track commercial parity exceptions for the program PMO.
• Analyze CSP change/release notifications and deliver operational impact assessments with mitigation options.
• Facilitate CSP discussions on cloud adoption pipelines and technical implementation approaches.
• Support DoD and Intelligence Community joint working groups on CSO demand tracking.
• Brief the user community on CSO adoption for specific DoD use cases and facilitate multi-cloud technical exchanges.

What You'll Need to Join the Team

• Bachelor's degree + 8 years of experience, OR 12 years total in multi-cloud environments with service integration and technical coordination focus.
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Meets DoD 8140 requirements for Work Role 628, Software/Cloud Architect (Intermediate).

What Sets You Apart

• Hands-on experience in DoD or IC cloud environments at IL4 and above.
• Associate-level or higher certifications in two or more of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OCI.
• Experience running technical exchange meetings with commercial CSP engineering teams.

DoD 8140 WRC 628 (Intermediate) examples: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Cloud+, ISC2 CCSP.
