Job summary

METRIX IT SOLUTIONS INC is seeking a senior Cloud/DevOps engineer in Jersey City, NJ to design and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform. You will develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions aligned with enterprise standards, and support cloud capabilities across AWS and Azure.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in cloud/DevOps roles, strong AWS experience, Terraform mastery, and familiarity with regulated industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud/DevOps/Platform/Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on AWS cloud services experience.
• Advanced Terraform expertise, including modules and state management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
• Experience in regulated industries such as Banking/Finance/Insurance/Healthcare.
• Understanding of cloud networking, security, and operational best practices.
• Infrastructure monitoring, logging, and observability expertise.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform).
• Develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Support and enhance horizontal cloud capabilities across AWS and Azure platforms.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, platforms, and deployment issues across environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Support and enhance horizontal cloud capabilities across AWS and Azure platforms.

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• Develop, maintain, and optimize reusable Terraform modules and templates.
• Manage infrastructure lifecycle through version-controlled deployment processes.
• Establish standards and best practices for IaC development and governance.

DevOps & CI/CD Automation

• Design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement automated validation, testing, security scanning, and deployment approval gates.
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Support vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives.

Operational Excellence

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, and deployment issues across Development, SIT, UAT, and Production environments.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and deployment procedures.
• Participate in release management and production support activities.
