Job summary

Lubrizol is seeking a Cloud Engineer to drive Azure-first cloud and hybrid infrastructure initiatives. You will implement, maintain, and optimize cloud resources, networking, identity integrations, and platform services to support our Next-Generation Infrastructure strategy.

You will collaborate with security, architecture, and IT teams, develop IaC using ARM, Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell, and contribute to automation and incident response while upholding security and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering roles.
  • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or cloud platforms in production.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and support Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Configure and manage cloud resources, networking, identity integrations, subscriptions, and platform services.
  • Execute cloud platform deployments, upgrades, lifecycle activities, and workload modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using ARM, Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives that improve consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability while supporting incident response and recovery activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud platform issues within defined service levels.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to deliver scalable and secure technology solutions.
  • Document solutions, standard operating procedures, and operational runbooks to support operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through automation and adoption of emerging cloud technologies.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the delivery, automation, support, and continuous improvement of Azure-first cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms that support our Next-Generation Infrastructure strategy. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant information technology experience in infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering roles.
  • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or cloud platforms in a production environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, virtualization, networking, or systems administration.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, identity, security fundamentals, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, automation concepts, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned services while balancing speed, reliability, security, and operational discipline.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional technology teams.
Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification or similar Azure certification.
  • Experience with ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or other Infrastructure-as-Code platforms.
  • Experience implementing automation and cloud governance best practices.
