Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Cloud Engineer to develop cloud solutions, implement automation, and support cloud service delivery across enterprise environments in a hybrid work model.

You will work with cloud-native technologies, DevSecOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and containerized deployments to design secure, scalable environments while aligning with cost optimization and disaster recovery goals. Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent) with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud architecture and service delivery models including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DaaS.
• Strong DevSecOps experience, cloud automation, and GitLab workflows.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies and automated cloud resource provisioning.
• Experience with containerization, orchestration, and cloud security best practices.
• Ability to analyze applications and develop migration, deployment, cost optimization, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience managing cloud policies, governance frameworks, and highly available cloud environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.

Compensation for the Cloud Engineer:

• Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000 *depending on experience*
