Qualifications

Job description

A successful Cloud Engineer will support the design, implementation, and operation of secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure. This role works primarily with AWS services, cloud networking, infrastructure as code, automation, and CI/CD tooling. The Cloud Engineer partners with application, security, networking, and operations teams to improve platform reliability, standardize delivery, resolve complex issues, and enable repeatable self-service solutions.

Responsibilities:

Support the design, implementation, and operation of AWS infrastructure and shared platform services.

Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure infrastructure-as-code tools and best practices.

Configure and troubleshoot AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, load balancers, DNS, and connectivity.

Automate routine operational tasks and reduce manual effort through scripting, reusable modules, and standard workflows.

Monitor platform health, investigate incidents, and participate in on-call or escalation support as part of a shared team rotation.

Apply security, reliability, availability, cost, and compliance practices to cloud infrastructure and operational processes.

Collaborate with application engineering, security, networking, SRE, and service management teams to resolve issues and deliver platform improvements.

Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, infrastructure standards, and operational procedures.

Participate in code reviews, infrastructure reviews, technical planning, and continuous improvement of team processes.

Contribute to the development of reusable, self-service platform capabilities for application teams.

What You Will Need to be Successful:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.

3–5 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, systems administration, or a related infrastructure role.

Professional experience supporting AWS environments in development, test, or production.

Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools and systems.

Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, networking, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
