The position includes implementing security controls, disaster recovery, and strategic cloud planning, with up to 10% travel. Active Secret clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and optimize AWS GovCloud environments aligned with business and mission objectives.
• Design and implement operations planning to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support administrators in deploying and managing IaaS and IaC solutions.
• Ensure the security and compliance of DoD systems, including NIST SP 800-171, DISA STIGs, and DFARS 252.204-7012.
• Architect and implement multi-region disaster recovery strategies to ensure resilience and continuity.

Position Summary

Join a fast paced Agile development program as a key Platform Engineer responsible for architecting, securing, and optimizing AWS GovCloud environments.

This role requires a seasoned systems/software engineering professional with deep expertise in cloud architecture, automation, security compliance, and large scale operational planning. The position has significant strategic and technical impact and requires strong leadership, innovation, and executive level communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and optimize AWS GovCloud environments aligned with business and mission objectives.
• Design and implement operations planning to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support administrators in deploying and managing Infrastructure?as?a?Service (IaaS) and Infrastructure?as?Code (IaC) solutions.
• Ensure the security and compliance of DoD systems, including implementation of NIST SP 800?171 security controls, DISA STIGs, and DFARS 252.204?7012 requirements.
