Fusion HCR is hiring! 3-6 month contract – Cloud Engineer, this is a remote opportunity, working with our client who is a department of the federal government, therefore, US Citizenship is required.Responsibilities- Design and implement Azure-based cloud architectures emphasizing security, compliance, automation, elasticity, and multi-tenant scalability.
- Develop and execute migration plans to move on-prem workloads to Azure using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, and infrastructure as code.
- Configure and manage Entra ID (Azure AD), IAM, RBAC, SSO, policies, Key Vault, and other Azure security/governance tools.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Azure, M365, AVD, VMs (Windows/Linux), containers, networking, policies, and integration.
- Support DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development using tools like Docker, Kafka, Terraform, and Git for infrastructure automation.
- Lead pre-production readiness, POCs, lab testing, and provide architectural documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Provide expertise in VMware technologies (vSphere, vCenter) and cloud frameworks such as CAF and Well-Architected Framework.
- Stay current with industry trends and identify technologies to support strategic direction.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including cloud migration (AMPP) and adherence to CAF/WAF principles.
- Proficient in designing Azure networking, hybrid cloud, and collaboration infrastructure (M365, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of RBAC, ExpressRoute, VPNs, Azure Monitor, subscription/VNet peering, and governance.
- Skilled in scripting with PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and using serverless functions.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and cloud integration.
- Familiar with WAF, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Key Vault, PIM, Managed Identities, Blob Storage, Data Factory, Docker/Kubernetes, and microservices.
Characteristics- Team player with strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent oral/written communication and end-to-end troubleshooting skills.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours if needed.
- Cloud certification preferred.
