Job summary

Elevate Technology Group seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a defense technology organization in Fairfax, VA or Denver, CO. The role focuses on building and maintaining cloud-native AWS environments, Linux infrastructure, automation, scripting and containerization.

The successful candidate will have hands-on AWS experience, scripting skills (Bash/Python) and a preference for Kubernetes. This is an onsite role requiring TS clearance or higher.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience building AWS infrastructure, not just supporting an existing environment.
• Scripting experience in Bash and/or Python.
• Kubernetes experience highly preferred; mid-to-senior level engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud-native environments within AWS.
• Build and configure AWS services including EC2, VPC and related infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux environments.
• Develop scripts and automate repetitive infrastructure tasks.
• Support automated OS and cloud infrastructure deployments.
• Work with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Support system security, hardening, monitoring and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot networking and wider infrastructure issues.

Clearance: Top Secret or higher

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a highly regarded defense technology organization in either Fairfax, VA or Denver, CO.

This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining cloud-native AWS environments, working across Linux infrastructure, automation, scripting and containerization.

The Role

• Build and maintain cloud-native environments within AWS
• Build and configure AWS services including EC2, VPC and related infrastructure
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux environments
• Develop scripts and automate repetitive infrastructure tasks
• Support automated OS and cloud infrastructure deployments
• Work with Kubernetes and Docker
• Support system security, hardening, monitoring and performance tuning
• Troubleshoot networking and wider infrastructure issues

The wider environment includes Linux, cloud virtualization, automated infrastructure deployment, networking, scripting and container technologies.

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on AWS experience
• Experience building AWS infrastructure, rather than simply supporting an existing environment
• Scripting experience in Bash, Python or similar
• Kubernetes experience highly preferred
• Mid-to-senior level engineering experience

This position is fully onsite and requires an active Top Secret clearance or higher.
