Cimarron Software Services Inc. is hiring a Cloud Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. The role requires security clearance and DoD compliances.

Design and maintain secure cloud environments, leverage AWS GovCloud and Azure US Gov, and drive DevSecOps with automation to improve provisioning and efficiency.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for facility access.
• Valid Real ID-compliant ID or state ID at hire.
• 1+ years of general full-time work experience; 1+ years in cloud engineering.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure components (compute, network, storage).
• Familiar with Kubernetes and containerization; Linux experience.
• Meet DoD 8570 certification requirements (Sec+) within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and sustain cloud environments for the Missile Defense Space Center.
• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures for enterprise workloads (AWS GovCloud, Azure for US Gov).
• Implement cloud-based solutions across compute, storage, networking, software dev, and DevSecOps.
• Collaborate with system engineers to define requirements and implement solutions.
• Advance automation to enable faster self-service resource provisioning.

Cimarron is seeking aCloud Engineerto support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs area in Colorado.

Key Duties:

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and sustain cloud environments for the Missile Defense Space Center.
• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures (VCF 9.0, AWS GovCloud, Azure for US Government) for enterprise workloads.
• Implement cloud-based solutions across IT problem space, including compute, storage, networking, software development, and DevSecOps
• Work with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions.
• Leverage strong communication and collaboration skills to ensure integration and compliance across cybersecurity, DevSecOps, sustainment, and application delivery teams.
• Develop and implement automation to expand the platform's self-service consumption model, enabling faster and more efficient resource provisioning for consumers.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• 1or moreyears of general (full-time) work experience.
  • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
• 1 or more years of directly related experience in cloud engineering related roles.
• Understanding of principals supporting Cloud infrastructure components including compute, network, and storage.
• Familiar with Kubernetes and containerization.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform.
• Experience in a Linux computing environment.
• Understanding of compute, networking, storage, and DevSecOps.
• Meet DoD 8570 certification requirements (e.g. Sec+) within 60 days of hire.

Desired Skills, Experience, or Education:

• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoW Top Secret Security Clearance w/ SCI eligibility.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 1 or more years of Cloud certifications (e.g, VMware Certified Professional - VCF Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
• Experience with continuous delivery tools (VCFA Blueprints, GitLab, ArgoCD, etc.)
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal cloud initiatives.
• Experience with model-based system engineering models and tools.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience writing and executing with automation tools.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. YAML, Python, Bash)
