Job summary

Apt is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support infrastructure, digital, and applications teams in developing and maintaining cloud-based solutions. You will deploy, debug, and optimize cloud stacks, and educate teams on new cloud initiatives while ensuring security and data access.

Typically requires a bachelor's degree with 0–2 years of related experience, and exposure to AWS, GCP, Azure, and VMware Cloud Administration. Go, Python, scripting, and YAML skills are valued as part of your daily work.

Job description

Under close supervision, the Cloud Engineer assists infrastructure, digital, and Applications teams to develop, implement, optimize, and maintaining cloud-based solutions. This role deploys and debugs cloud stacks, educates teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensures the security of the cloud infrastructure. The Cloud Engineer assists in identifying the most optimal cloud-based solutions and has in-depth experience with data management and data access from cloud-based solutions.

JOB DUTIES

• Provides elementary support in the management and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure services for clients.
• Assists senior team members in interfacing between the client and the system.
• Assists Application and Product teams to implement recommended or requested cloud services and resources.
• Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis, and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree and zero (0) and two (2) years of related experience in a professional role or equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Some exposure to working in technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, VMWare Cloud Administration, and Azure.
• Experience with Go, Python, Scripting, and YAML
• Demonstrated some prior experience in analytical thinking and coding.
