Job summary

OptionMetrics, headquartered in New York, NY, is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team and manage MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring stability, security, and performance.

You will develop and optimize SQL queries, design complex stored procedures, and leverage AWS services to deploy, monitor, and scale databases, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role offers remote US or hybrid options from NYC or Miami.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator with MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
• Strong SQL tuning and performance optimization skills.
• Experience designing and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• Experience with PostgreSQL installation/configuration/troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3).
• Git/GitHub for version control.
• Knowledge of database security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases for stability, availability and performance.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries.
