Job description

Our client is searching for a Lead/Architect Software Engineer with extensive experience in building and designing distributed systems.

This role can be remote, and all candidates must work through an approved vendor of TEKsystems or on a W2 basis for TEKsystems.

Duties:

1. Lead architectural design for your team's services and their interactions with the broader platform.
2. Make critical technical decisions on implementation approaches, technology choices, and system design.
3. Establish team-level engineering standards aligned with broader organizational practices.

Technical Requirements:

• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm
• Data Systems: SQL, NoSQL, Kafka/Kinesis, Elasticsearch
• Observability: Distributed tracing, metrics, logging (Datadog, Prometheus, Cloudwatch)
• Practices: CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, Test-Driven Development, Integration Testing, Performance Testing
• Architecture: Microservices, event-driven architecture, API gateways, service mesh, data mesh
• Security: OAuth/OIDC, encryption at rest/transit, zero-trust principles

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be specific to elections, plans, or program terms.
