Job summary

Alquemy is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer for a contract position in Vancouver, BC. You will provision and manage cloud infrastructure, deploy applications on Kubernetes, and build reliable CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe releases.

You will work with Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, and cloud services across AKS/EKS/GKE, monitor health, troubleshoot, and collaborate with developers and data engineers to support deployments and data workloads while applying security best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or cloud operations.
• Hands-on with AKS/EKS/GKE or self-managed Kubernetes.
• Strong Linux administration and network troubleshooting skills.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting apps on Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with Terraform and Helm; reusable configurations.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Deploy and maintain apps on Kubernetes using Helm and Argo CD.
• Create and maintain Kubernetes manifests and environment configurations.
• Troubleshoot deployments, connectivity, and resource issues.
• Build and manage container images and registries.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Monitor health, investigate alerts, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers on releases.
• Apply security best practices for access, secrets, and changes.
• Maintain operational docs and runbooks.
