Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for NIH CIT Hosting and Storage Services. You will design, automate, and deliver secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, collaborating with customers and engineers to translate requirements into effective cloud solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on cloud engineering, automation with Terraform and Ansible, and developing standardized services while supporting custom hosting needs.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 4+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent IT-related discipline.
• Experience engineering and supporting cloud or enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• Experience implementing technical solutions with senior engineers
• Experience collaborating with customers, teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
• Develop and enhance standardized, reusable cloud infrastructure services and automation.
• Configure cloud compute, storage, databases, identity, networking, security, monitoring, and backups.
• Develop and support automation and CI/CD capabilities for provisioning and deployments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, OS, automation, and hosting issues across engineering disciplines.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and security/compliance artifacts.
• Participate in Agile/DevOps activities and improve service delivery and customer experience.
