Job summary

Framestore Limited is seeking a Cloud DevOps Developer to drive a cloud-forward approach to development, deploying scalable serverless infrastructure for our advertising and brand platforms. You’ll work in a small agile team, collaborating with artists and technology colleagues to enhance automation and deployment workflows.

You will focus on designing and deploying cloud infrastructure, improving developer workflows, and accelerating delivery cycles in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar cloud infrastructure provisioning tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to learn.
• Solid grasp of modern software development practices, including measurement and logging.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and optimize cloud services using Terraform and related tools.
• Champion Agile methodologies with emphasis on continuous delivery and test-driven development.
• Improve observability, telemetry, monitoring, and alerting of our platform and services.
• Build and optimise tooling and deployment pipelines to accelerate development.
• Collaborate with Pipeline and Systems teams to integrate cloud and DevOps solutions.
• Explore AI techniques to assist in code and media generation where appropriate.

Please note this is a permanent role and we prefer a hybrid working model; we are flexible with remote working as long as you can meet with the team in our London studio in-person now and then.

Please note we cannot support VISA + relocation for this role.

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud DevOps Developer to help us take a modern, cloud-forward approach to development. You’ll help deploy scalable and secure serverless infrastructure in order to deliver some of our latest products and services used for modern advertising and brand management. You will be part of a small agile team working closely with artists and other technology teams.

Your main focus will be on designing and deploying cloud infrastructure and enhancing developer workflows to support a fast paced, agile iteration and deployment cycle.

What you’ll do

• Deploy, maintain, and optimize our cloud services using Terraform and other modern cloud orchestration tools.
• Champion Agile methodologies, focusing heavily on continuous delivery and test-driven development.
• Enhance observability, telemetry, monitoring, and alerting of our platform and services.
• Accelerate our development processes by building and optimising powerful tooling and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with our Pipeline and Systems teams to integrate cloud and DevOps solutions.
• Explore and harness AI techniques to assist in code and media generation where appropriate.

What we are looking for

• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar cloud infrastructure provisioning tools.
• Exceptional communication and eager learning skills.
• A solid grasp of modern software development practices and a desire to measure and log everything.
• The ability to problem-solve independently and write high-quality code without an over-reliance on AI tools.

You might also have

• VFX/Animation pipeline experience.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
