Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Cloud Development Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features and ensure secure, efficient integration with databases and external services.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, cloud deployments, and performance optimization, with a strong focus on distributed systems and containerized environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of software development experience.
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or commensurate work experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, GoLang and Spring Boot.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with databases such as Mongo, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and debugging practices.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, RabbitMQ/AMQP a plus.
• Experience with AWS services, like Lambda, SNS, SQS, IAM, etc.
• Infra-as-code (Terraform/Terragrunt).
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architecture.
• Full Stack Development a plus.
• Datadog dashboard observability.

Responsibilities

We focus on designs and tools rooted in strong engineering principles like abstraction, composition, virtualization, automation, and iterative development cycles.This role is responsible for designing, implementation, and maintenance of complex software systems that meet specific business needs or technical requirements.
