Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to support the AI Essentials product in a Kubernetes-based private cloud platform. You will design, build, and iterate on core components, focusing on scalable, reliable, and secure backend services in Golang within a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, engineering ownership, and contributions across the stack in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
1–5 years of professional cloud/platform engineering experience
Hands-on Kubernetes and containerized systems experience (CSI, PV/PVC)
Experience with Linux, servers, storage and networking
Advanced Golang and shell scripting skills
Strong Linux, storage, and security fundamentals
Hands-on Git, GNU Make, and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and own core platform components of a Kubernetes-based private cloud AI platform
Translate feature specs into robust designs and production-ready code
Build and evolve backend services and controllers in Golang for scalability, reliability, and security
Lead debugging of cross-layer issues involving applications, Kubernetes, CSI drivers, and external storage
Drive CI/CD best practices for deploying and managing cloud-native services
Act as a technical reference point and provide code reviews and guidance
Contribute to architectural discussions and evaluate new technologies for the platform
Collaborate with product managers and engineers in a hybrid team setup
