Position: Cloud Developer AI/ML, Sr. Manager - Analytics Operations

Location: Multiple locations including Devens, MA, New Brunswick, NJ, or Seattle, WA

Position Summary

The GPS BI&T Analytics Operations team is building top-tier DevOps and MLOps infrastructure for deploying innovative AI and ML solutions that add value at BMS. The Senior Manager will work with the Associate Director to engineer solutions for operationalizing AI models and advanced analytics tools using AWS and other cloud services. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business stakeholders, to deliver impactful solutions. There are also opportunities to develop custom services and UI tools, including deploying cutting-edge technologies like GenAI and LLMs.

The ideal candidate has a scientific background in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related STEM fields, with expertise in distributed computing, AI cloud services, deep learning frameworks, data science, machine learning, and data engineering. DevOps experience is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills are essential to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to establish core capabilities, including building DevOps infrastructure from scratch and defining best practices for tool adoption.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching junior team members, and leading code reviews.
• Drive business value by identifying high-impact use cases, delivering insights, and establishing the team as a source of reliable enterprise tools.

Qualifications & Experience

• BA/BS in a scientific or quantitative major; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure development and backend services; frontend, DevOps, or MLOps experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Go, Rust, Julia.
• Experience with version control (Git), deploying AI models, automating CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred), containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and MLOps tools.
• Knowledge of deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), data engineering (SQL, Spark), and project management skills.
