The Cloud Database Administrator is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of secure healthcare data platforms within a cloud environment. This role combines Database Administration (DBA) expertise with cloud data engineering capabilities to ensure high performance, availability, security, and regulatory compliance of enterprise data systems.
The position supports analytics, interoperability, and clinical reporting initiatives while maintaining strict adherence to healthcare data privacy and security standards. Microsoft Azure or AWS database-related certifications, and Epic Cogito certification are a plus.
You will be responsible for various activities related to the design, implementation, and maintenance of Memorial's database(s). Supports the administration of databases, database technologies, data platforms and systems responsible for backup, recovery, performance tuning, security, auditing, metadata management, optimization, statistics, capacity planning, connectivity and other data solutions of critical database systems.

Bachelors: Information Technology (Required)
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working with database management systems/software such as SSRS, SSIS, AlwaysOn. Other Information: Additional Education Info: Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for education requirement.
