Job summary

MACOM is seeking a Security Engineer – Cloud & Data in Lowell, MA. You will safeguard intellectual property across cloud infrastructure, data repositories, and endpoints, spending most time on security operations while shaping architectural standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in cloud security and data protection, experience with EDR/visibility platforms, and knowledge of AWS/Azure and IaC. CI/CD security exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience spanning cloud infrastructure, data protection, and enterprise endpoint security.
• Experience administering enterprise-grade EDR and data visibility platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Varonis).
• Working knowledge of Cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and IaC principles.
• Nice to Have: Basic familiarity with SAST/DAST and GitLab workflows.

Responsibilities

• Platform Engineering (80%): Manage EDR and legacy DLP agents; configure CSPM guardrails in AWS/Azure; administer DSPM tools; advise DevOps on security in CI/CD pipelines.
• Strategic Architecture (20%): Define insider-threat/UEBA telemetry tool; design data classification and access guardrails for enterprise AI adoption; lead decommissioning of legacy endpoint agents.
