Job summary

Charles River Development (CRD) is seeking a Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and evolve cloud‑native data integration capabilities powering the Next‑Gen Data Platform. The role emphasizes microservices, serverless patterns, and Azure Functions, with opportunities to work on Java‑based import/export frameworks and Talend integrations.

You will collaborate across CRIMS and the Alpha Platform, optimize for scalability and resiliency, and mentor junior engineers while delivering

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing and developing cloud‑native services, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices architectures, serverless technologies, and event‑driven systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java and SQL; experience with Spring‑based frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain large‑scale, cloud‑native data integration services using microservices and serverless patterns (e.g., Azure Functions).
• Contribute to the design and implementation of core data integration platforms and services with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Build and enhance APIs and services for batch, near‑real‑time, and event‑driven ingestion and transformation workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed, cloud‑based production systems and perform root‑cause analysis.
