Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Program/Project Manager to lead large data engineering and migration initiatives with three days onsite in Dearborn, Michigan. You will serve as the technical lead for data pipelines, mentor distributed teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

The role requires 7+ years in data engineering, hands-on GCP experience, and strong Python/SQL skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or platform development.
• Experience leading enterprise data engineering initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with GCP or other cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in data pipelines, modeling, and ETL/ELT.
• Experience working with complex data environments.
• Experience leading global teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for data engineering, owning architecture and delivery
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and models on GCP
• Lead migration from Alteryx to GCP-based ETL and reporting
• Define data engineering standards and best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into solutions
• Lead and mentor distributed data engineering teams
• Ensure data quality and integrity across systems
• Heavily leverage Python, SQL and GCP's native data services
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
• Identify risks and lead mitigation strategies
