Avance Consulting is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to join our Detroit-area team. You will design and deliver data solutions using Snowflake and AWS, and collaborate across engineering, analytics, and operations.

You will contribute to the full data stack, from requirements elicitation to deployment, ensuring scalable, reliable data platforms and clear documentation. This is a full-time onsite role with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Experience documenting business requirements and guiding design discussions.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Proactive testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of applications.
• End-to-end SDLC experience with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to document design decisions and maintain knowledge base.

Responsibilities

• Document requirements and guide technical design discussions.
• Code and integrate new features while maintaining stability.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain code repositories.
• Develop test strategies and coordinate bug fixes.
• Prepare training materials and user documentation.
• Resolve production issues and improve system reliability.
