Job summary

Graham Technologies in Tampa, FL is seeking a data engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines that support advanced analytics and modernize large-scale data environments.

You will build secure, scalable cloud-based data architectures in AWS or Azure, integrate data from multiple sources, enable predictive analytics and ML, and collaborate with data scientists to prepare datasets for dashboards and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of professional Data Engineering experience.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
• Experience with Apache Spark and orchestration tools (Airflow/NiFi).
• Experience designing and supporting cloud-based data solutions using AWS or Azure.
• Experience implementing enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data quality processes.
• Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise applications using APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise data pipelines for high-volume logistics data.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to centralize data from multiple systems in cloud stores.
• Build data lake architectures for structured and unstructured data.
• Develop batch and streaming pipelines using Kafka, Airflow, and NiFi.
• Design cloud-native storage/compute in AWS or Azure.
• Implement secure data architectures meeting DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Establish data governance, metadata, lineage, and data quality controls.
• Develop SQL and NoSQL databases to support analytics.
• Create APIs for data integration and interoperability.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to prep data for analytics and ML.
• Support BI via dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
• Document architecture, data dictionaries, and SOPs.
• Participate in knowledge transfer and government training sessions.
• Support Agile practices with sprint planning and reviews.
• Work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve data capabilities.
