Job summary

Nordcloud is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer (mid-level or senior) to join our Professional Services team in Finland. You will design and deliver modern cloud-based data solutions for a range of clients, working in an international team on analytics, IoT, real-time data processing, and enterprise data platforms.

You will build scalable pipelines, apply data modelling and governance, collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, and participate in cloud platform modernization.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with data transformation and modelling.
• Experience with cloud-based data services such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake or similar technologies.
• Understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse concepts and modern analytics architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, version control and automated deployment processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• For Seniors: Participate in solution architecture discussions and help define technical best practices across projects.
• Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English, as both are used daily with clients and project teams.

In this role, you will work as part of an international team, designing and delivering modern cloud-based data solutions for a wide range of clients. As a consultancy, we offer opportunities to contribute to a variety of projects. Our current portfolio includes customer analytics, large-scale IoT and real-time data processing, enterprise data platforms, and data architecture and strategy initiatives across both public and private sector organisations.

Your daily responsibilities:
