Job summary

FastTek is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform. You will work on data platforms, data governance, and secure, efficient data processing across BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-7 years of Data or Software Engineering experience, with cloud data platforms (GCP preferred).
• Strong SQL, Java, Python; hands-on with GCP BigQuery, Dataflow, DataProc.
• Solid understanding of SOA and microservices in cloud data platforms.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, and columnar databases; data governance, encryption, masking.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and shape data strategy.
• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for collection, storage, transformation, and analysis.
• Design data models and applications for efficient data workflows and analytics.
• Develop data platforms like data warehouses/lakes/lakehouses for structured and unstructured data.
• Create analytical tools and automation scripts to support data engineering tasks.
• Monitor performance and optimize costs across GCP data services.
