Job summary

Marlabs Inc. is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize modern cloud-based data solutions in Azure. You will develop scalable pipelines, transform data with Python/SQL, and ensure data quality, security, and performance across enterprise ecosystems.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in data engineering, experience with Azure services, and familiarity with Lakehouse and Fabric architectures to support analytics, BI, and enterprise reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise data platforms.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with complex transformations and large-scale processing.
Hands-on experience with Azure data services (ADF, Synapse, Storage, Databricks).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows for analytics.
Build and optimize data transformation solutions using Python and SQL.
Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring quality, lineage, and reliability.
Develop and support cloud-based data solutions on Azure using modern data services.
Contribute to data platform modernization, including Fabric and Lakehouse architectures.
Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver trusted data solutions.
Optimize data models and storage for high-volume analytics and reporting.
Troubleshoot data pipeline and platform issues, implementing monitoring, governance, and security.
