Job summary

Kavaliro is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity. You will design and implement scalable data pipelines, collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders, and ensure data is cleansed, transformed, and stored securely in cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Azure migration experience, strong Python/SQL skills, and hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Storage, and data warehouses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field.
• Minimum of five plus years of Azure migration experience.
• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Storage, and Analysis Services.
• ETL in a data warehouse environment and big data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and storage environments using cloud services.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
• Ensure data is cleansed, mapped, and transformed for storage and use.
• Load transformed data into data warehouses and analytics systems.
• Monitor data environments and provide on-call support for production systems.
• Implement data security measures and auditing to protect information.
• Mentor IT staff on security best practices and emerging technologies.
• Review SOWs, manage SI relationships, and monitor KPIs and SLAs.
