Job summary

Allegiant seeks a Data Engineer to architect, develop, and maintain its enterprise data infrastructure. You will lead the migration of on-premise data marts to a cloud-hosted data warehouse and build next-generation data tools to support business intelligence.

The role requires at least three years of Data Engineer experience with ETL, OLAP, and dimensional modeling. A hybrid schedule is offered with in-office presence required part-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience as a Data Engineer with data marts and data warehousing experience.
• Strong SQL Server and Amazon Redshift skills.
• Experience with ETL, OLAP structures, and dimensional modeling.
• Basic proficiency with AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Hybrid work schedule: 2 days in office or 8 days a month when campus is open, remainder remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Allegiant data marts and data warehouses.
• Migrate on-premise infrastructure to AWS environment.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL processes.
• Implement data quality checks for data accuracy and reliability.
• Troubleshoot data processing and ETL pipelines.
• Transform, convert, and validate data for BI applications.
• Maintain SQL Server and Redshift data stores.
• Replicate data to reporting databases for enterprise reporting.
