Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Data Architect in the Corporate Technology organization to advance the data architecture for multiple applications as they modernize toward cloud-based solutions.

You will define target state plans for a strategic data lake, adopt core data technologies, and set data standards across a broad portfolio supporting Compliance, Oversight, and Governance. You will guide 100+ applications, mentor junior staff, and evangelize best practices while championing an

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture roles with OLTP/OLAP experience.
• Deep knowledge of modern data architecture and trends.
• Experience with cloud-based databases such as Postgres or CockroachDB, or data lake platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
• Ability to write Architecture Decision Records and evangelize standards across teams.
• Broad data tech expertise including data processing, quality, BI, unstructured data, ML.
• Experience with data governance, catalogs, vocabularies, and classification needs.
• Cloud fundamentals, AWS preferred or other public cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Data Architecture principles and framework to enforce the data environment across the portfolio.
• Own and evolve database standards with architects for the portfolio applications.
• Drive adoption of the strategic lake by designing target state data architectures to reduce bespoke data apps.
• Define data processing patterns and standards for data exchange (streaming, API, batch).
• Serve as go-to SME for data architecture across 100+ applications.
• Mentor junior architects and technologists on data practices, modeling, design, and storage.
• Champion diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
