Job summary

H-E-B seeks a Senior Staff Engineer - Data & AI Platform to architect and lead its enterprise-wide cloud data modernization and unified AI Platform strategy in Austin. You will spearhead migrating data estates from AWS/Databricks to Google Cloud, design standardized ingestion/transformation/serving, and build robust DevX tooling and IaC practices for data and ML products.

You will lead architecture for enterprise AI, MLOps, and governance, including model registries, feature stores, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/data/platform engineering with senior staff experience.
• Proven track record leading large-scale cloud migrations and data platform transformations.
• Deep expertise in GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead end-to-end migration of enterprise data workloads to GCP.
• Define standardized data ingestion, transformation, and serving frameworks.
• Build developer tooling and CI/CD IaC practices for data/ML products.
• Lead and mentor data/AI engineering teams and establish governance.
