Job summary

JANUS Research Group is seeking a Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer to lead security policy, compliance, and information assurance for enterprise cloud applications. The role advances a modern DevSecOps approach to streamline RMF processes and guides cross-functional teams through the ATO lifecycle within DoD environments.

Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance, a technical Bachelor’s degree, and 8+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with RMF/ATO, eMASS, NIST 800-53 Rev.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 8 years of direct experience in cybersecurity engineering or information assurance.
• Experience navigating the ATO lifecycle from initial registration to final authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide security policy, compliance, and information assurance for enterprise cloud applications.
• Champion a modern DevSecOps approach to RMF processes.
• Guide cross-functional teams through the DoD ATO lifecycle in DoD environments.
• Develop system security documentation to achieve certification and accreditation.
• Collaborate with senior policy directors to align technical execution with mission objectives.
• Provide hands-on guidance for platform- and application-level security controls and risk mitigation.
