Job summary

The Amatriot Group is seeking a Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer to join Intel project based in Sterling, VA. The role focuses on applying security controls, reviewing software, hardware, and infrastructure changes, and supporting system accreditation through a risk management framework.

The position requires hands-on Linux administration, cloud security experience (AWS), and a proactive approach to zero trust and DevSecOps. Active TS/SCI CI Poly is required; full-time role with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux administration and cybersecurity engineering.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; with degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as cybersecurity SME across system-level architecture and operational environments.
• Perform hands-on Linux administration tasks including navigating the command line, audit/log analysis, vulnerability scans, and hardening.
• Generate certification and accreditation documentation for System Security Plans and related artifacts for SNOW upload.
• Conduct network troubleshooting to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Provide cloud-focused security support, including AWS security groups, IAM roles/policies, and VPC controls; ensure proper logging and access controls.
• Collaborate with development teams to create, maintain, and monitor data connections and security certificates; maintain DevSecOps practices.
