Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a cloud computing application architect to design secure, cloud-based architectures for GEOINT missions. You will build cloud-native solutions, guide migration from on-prem and multi-cloud environments, and lead teams to deliver scalable, compliant systems.

Work with application developers across the SDLC, apply IaC/CaC practices, and ensure standards are met while expanding automation and security capabilities in a fast-paced, mission-focused setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in microservice architectures.
• 3+ years designing and developing cloud solutions using cloud native tools (EKS, ECR, OpenSearch).
• 3+ years using IaC and Configuration as Code tools.
• Experience in hybrid solutions with cloud or on-premise infrastructure or multi-cloud strategies.
• Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration tools.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• HS diploma or GED

As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to build a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. On our team, you’ll design a secure, cloud-based communications network to support mission-critical operations. Additionally, you’ll broaden your skill set in areas like automation and cloud-based security while developing critical systems for GEOINT missions.

You Have

• 5+ years of experience in microservice architectures


• 3+ years of experience designing and developing cloud solutions using cloud native tools, such as EKS, ECR, or OpenSearch


• 3+ years of experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) tools


• Experience in hybrid solutions with cloud or on-premise infrastructure or multi-cloud strategies

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
