Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Cloud Compute Software team in Cupertino. You will define the strategy and roadmap for Apple’s cloud compute platforms, and manage day-to-day execution including sprint planning and performance reviews.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with recruiting to attract top talent, and work with partners to ensure compute needs are met while upholding high quality standards across Apple services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud platforms and building large-scale distributed systems.
• 5+ years in a technical leadership role with people management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, OS concepts, and secure execution environments.
• Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence technical decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the vision, strategy and roadmap for Apple’s cloud compute platforms.
• Lead day‑to‑day team execution: sprint planning, prioritization and retrospectives.
• Mentor and develop engineers through regular 1‑on‑ones, performance feedback and career planning.
• Collaborate with recruiting to attract and hire top reliability engineering talent.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to clarify compute needs and drive results.
• Maintain high quality standards and ownership across Apple products.
