Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a strong back-end developer with cloud engineering background to join the analytics activation team. The role focuses on Java-based API-enabled applications, event-driven architecture, and production support in a bank environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience with Oracle or Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Spring Boot, and will demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies and AI trends. Office-based with potential flexible arrangements.

• 7+ years of development experience using Java, building API enabled apps and event driven architecture.
• Ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures, knowledge of using databases including Oracle, Snowflake.
• 2+ years of production support, infrastructure engineering or administration experience.
• Experience with or good working knowledge of DevSecOps; Kubernetes or other container-based technologies including deployment pipelines.
• Learning mindset with openness to learn new technologies, build things and experiment.
• Certifications like cloud architect/engineer/developer are strongly preferred.

• Possesses an in-depth knowledge of and works with the technical tools available for systems development and support.
• Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington.
• May assist with identifying training needs or with training of less experienced staff.
• May serve as project leader for specific projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with marketing applications or integration background.
• Previous Architecture or tech lead experience.
• Deep knowledge of micro services patterns, Spring framework including spring boot, batch.
• Ability to balance both development and support roles.
• Strong analytical, strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups.
• Certifications like cloud architect/engineer/developer are strongly preferred.

Compensation Range:

70,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
