Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a strong back-end developer with a cloud engineering background to join our analytics activation team. You will design and implement API-enabled systems and event-driven architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes, while leveraging cloud-friendly practices and DevSecOps pipelines.

The role requires 7+ years of Java development, SQL with Oracle/Snowflake, and experience in production support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of development experience with Java and building API-enabled, event-driven applications.
• Proficient in writing SQL queries and procedures; experience with Oracle and Snowflake.
• 2+ years in production support, infra engineering, or administration.
• Experience with DevSecOps and container technologies including deployment pipelines (Kubernetes).
• Cloud architecture/developer certifications are preferred.
• Familiar with agile practices and working on product teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and develop systems based on user specifications.
• Provide technical assistance for hardware or software problems.
• Maintain knowledge of development and support tools used at Huntington.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends relevant to Huntington.
• Identify training needs and mentor junior staff.
• Serve as project lead for specific initiatives.

• Previous Architecture or tech lead experience.
• Deep knowledge of micro services patterns, Spring framework including spring boot, batch.
• Ability to balance both development and support roles.
• Strong analytical, strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups.
• Certifications like cloud architect/engineer/developer are strongly preferred.

Compensation Range:

70,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
