Job summary

Esri is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern in Information Technology to design and manage resources in private or public clouds, collaborating with development and operations teams to enhance CI/CD. You will automate deployments with infrastructure as code, operate monitoring and logging, and explore large language model use cases for internal workflows.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program in the US with expected graduation 2027 or 2028.
• Undergraduate status as junior or senior in the program.
• Preferably graduating in 2027.
• Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, MongoDB, and REST APIs.
• Experience configuring Linux and/or Windows systems.
• Ability to write Python or PowerShell and use Git.
• Cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure preferred.
• Available for a consecutive 12-week onsite internship starting May or June 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain resources in Esri’s private or public cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development and operations to improve CI/CD processes.
• Automate resource deployments using infrastructure as code.
• Operate and improve logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
• Explore LLM use cases to improve workflows and automation.
