Job summary

Dark Wolf invites applications for an Infrastructure Engineer to lead the installation, configuration, and operation of C2 software for the Air Operations Center Weapons System, located in Hampton, VA. The role emphasizes cloud strategy, automation, and secure system integration to meet mission requirements.

The candidate will build VM-based systems in AWS and on-premises, implement cybersecurity controls, and develop CI/CD pipelines. A Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience, or Master’s with 7+ years; degrees may be substituted by relevant experience.
• 1+ years of software development and/or DevOps/DevSecOps experience.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD baseline; willing to certify within 30 days of starting.
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems.
• Experience with Ansible and/or PowerShell.
• Experience with Git-based source control (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity controls, scans, and remediation.
• Familiarity with AWS (console/CLI) and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Scrum and/or Kanban.
• US Citizenship and a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains infrastructure using VM instances in AWS and on-premises edge environments.
• Applies cybersecurity controls and configures cloud resources for functionality and compliance.
• Develops automation code using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Develops, executes, and troubleshoots CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoots VM, cloud configurations, and automation pipelines.
• Documents technical procedures and collaborates with AppTX team and stakeholders.
• Ensures source control with Git and adheres to configuration management processes.
