Base pay range

$70.00/hr - $75.00/hr

JustinBradley’s client, an expert in securitization and technology in the housing finance market, is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Automation Engineer to drive the automation of our cloud infrastructure and modernize IT operations. This role will focus on automating business and IT processes in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and integrating cloud services to streamline deployment and management activities across both Windows and Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, scripting, and DevOps practices, with a keen eye for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate manual business and IT processes within Amazon Web Services (AWS) using services such as CloudFormation, CodePipeline, SSM Automation Documents, and Config Rules.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate infrastructure provisioning and software deployments at scale.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to validate infrastructure code, ensuring stable and predictable deployments.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate engineering defects and inefficiencies in existing infrastructure codebases.
• Collaborate with operational and stakeholder teams to support business continuity and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration, runbook, and support documentation.
• Manage assigned project components and deliver cloud services that meet business goals and timelines.
• Design and implement automated workflows for:

-AWS network configurations and VPC account provisioning

-Microsoft 365 tenant domain changes, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Active Directory alignment

-Domain management, and migration of Windows and Linux systems

-Integration and automation across SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, etc.

• Develop PowerShell and Graph API scripts to automate Microsoft cloud platform management tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of experience in IT systems or cloud engineering roles.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Shell scripting, PowerShell, Java, and .NET Framework.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience building and managing containerized applications, including Windows base images using the .NET Framework.
• Deep understanding of cloud service integration, provisioning, and monitoring, particularly within AWS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and identity services, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.
• Experience developing and maintaining hardened baselines and system configuration automation (preferred).
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
