Job summary

Subaru of America is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design, implement, and govern secure multi‑cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure. The role emphasizes IaC with Terraform, cross‑account landing zones, and enterprise governance using AWS Organizations and Azure Management Groups.

You will drive automation, monitoring, and cost optimization while supporting migration of on‑prem systems to cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required or HS Diploma with equivalent experience
• 6-8 years of relevant experience
• 4-6 years of Azure/AWS administration experience
• Hands-on with Terraform and IaC
• Scripting knowledge: PowerShell, Python, Bash
• Experience with cloud monitoring tools and Datadog
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Certifications like Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitors cloud system performance, availability, compliance, and security
• Designs cross-account architectures and enterprise governance using AWS Organizations and Azure Management Groups
• Implements backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover strategies across Azure and AWS
• Reviews and optimizes resources, configurations, policies for cost, governance and security
• Collaborates with developers, network engineers, cybersecurity and IT admins
• Guides migration of on-prem to Azure and AWS
• Acts as SME for Azure and AWS architecture and operations
• Maintains documentation for cloud architecture and processes
• Leads IaC automation and configuration management using Terraform
• Manages identity and access models across multi-account environments
• Participates in capacity planning, cost management and performance tuning
