Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect / Cloud Infrastructure Architect with strong hands‑on experience in Microsoft Azure, Azure VMware Solution, cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, Azure networking, landing zone design, and infrastructure automation. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and automated Azure infrastructure solutions, supporting enterprise cloud migrations from on‑premises and VMware environments to Azure, and enabling standardized cloud provisioning using Terraform, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks. This role requires a strong architecture mindset, practical implementation experience, and the ability to work with application, infrastructure, network, security, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable cloud transformation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assessment, planning, design, and execution of on‑premises to Azure migration and cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Design and support migration strategies for VMware‑based workloads using Azure VMware Solution, Azure‑native services, and appropriate migration tooling.
  • Create and review High‑Level Designs and Low‑Level Designs for Azure compute, storage, networking, security, and migration architectures.
  • Design and implement Azure Landing Zones aligned with enterprise standards, including subscriptions, management groups, policies, identity, networking, security, monitoring, and governance.
  • Architect and manage Azure networking components such as VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, private endpoints, load balancers, VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, and VNet peering.
  • Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules for Azure infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Implement infrastructure deployment automation using Azure DevOps pipelines, Git‑based workflows, CI/CD practices, and approval‑based deployment models.
  • Support infrastructure modernization by automating provisioning, configuration, governance enforcement, and operational tasks.
  • Work with security teams to apply RBAC, Azure Policy, Key Vault, network security controls, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with application, platform, DevOps, operations, and business teams to translate requirements into secure and scalable cloud architecture.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, networking, migration, and automation issues.
  • Support post‑migration optimization, including performance, reliability, cost, monitoring, and operational readiness.
  • Document architecture decisions, deployment procedures, migration plans, and operational handover materials.
Experience Level
  • 10+ years of overall IT infrastructure / cloud experience.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on Azure infrastructure experience.
  • 2+ years of architecture or technical lead experience in cloud migration, Azure platform engineering, or cloud transformation programs.
  • Practical experience with VMware, Azure networking, Terraform, and DevOps automation is highly preferred.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a strong Azure infrastructure architect who can design and implement solutions, not just advise at a high level. The person should be comfortable working across migration, networking, landing zone, automation, and DevOps areas, and should be able to guide engineering teams during implementation. They should have a strong understanding of how enterprise VMware workloads can be migrated or extended into Azure using Azure VMware Solution and Azure‑native services. Microsoft describes Azure VMware Solution as private clouds containing VMware vSphere clusters on dedicated Azure infrastructure, including vCenter Server, vSAN, vSphere, and NSX, and notes that it supports migration of workloads from on‑premises environments while allowing consumption of Azure services.
