Applied Information Sciences is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Architect to lead enterprise cloud migration programs across Azure and AWS. The role is remote and focuses on establishing the cloud foundation, migration patterns, and governance standards to guide multi-region delivery.

You will document architecture decisions, mentor next‑generation leaders, and collaborate with executives to shape long-term technology direction while applying security guardrails and governance frameworks.

Qualifikationen

• Over 10 years in cloud or infrastructure architecture and engineering.
• Hands-on experience in Azure and AWS design and implementation.
• Experience designing landing zones, governance, and security guardrails for enterprise environments.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).

The role assesses cloud readiness, sets up the migration environment, and defines the architecture standards, guardrails, and migration patterns the migration teams follow. The role is remote.Key ResponsibilitiesAssesses the readiness of target Azure and AWS environments and core cloud services to support migration.Establishes the migration environment and infrastructure the migration teams use.Defines landing zone, target architecture, and security standards and guardrails for migrated workloads.Develops reusable migration patterns and infrastructure as code for consistent target deployments.Identifies, documents, and remediates cloud environment gaps that would block migration.Provides AWS and Azure architecture leadership and guidance to migration teams and specialists.Documents architecture decisions and transfers standards and patterns to migration teams and operations staffRequired For This OpportunityUS CitizenMinimum ten years of cloud or infrastructure architecture and engineering experienceHands-on experience designing and implementing architectures in both Azure and AWSExperience designing landing zones, cloud governance, and security guardrails for enterprise environmentsExperience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormationWorks on increasingly complex problems, exercises independent judgment, and provides direction and coordination for a multi-disciplinary teamNice to Have SkillsExperience with Azure Government or AWS GovCloud environmentsAzure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Solutions Architect Professional certificationExperience with large-scale data center migrations to the cloud· Experience with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, or CMMCFederal program delivery experienceExperience using GitHub and GitHub Copilot for source control and AI-assisted developmentFamiliarity with AI technologies and their practical use in IT delivery or cloud environmentsAt AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member.The targeted base salary range for this role is $154,000-$232,000 per year.
