Job Description

Job Title: Cloud Architect (Remote, Full Time)

We are seeking to optimise our established Cloud deployment, built on Azure, to provide an AI-augmented agile cloud platform that responds quickly to demand from service users, making it “easy to do business” with Ramsay – for patients, clinicians, and partners. Working alongside colleagues in our “Digital & Technology” function, along with trusted partners in infrastructure, data, integration, and AI, you will have great opportunities to lead and shape the future of Ramsay.

The Role

As Cloud Architect, you will maintain the cloud platform and develop roadmaps for adding new cloud capabilities. You will collaborate with the business on adopting solution designs that serve both clinical and technology areas, utilizing cloud platform services and tools.

Responsibilities

1. Govern and manage the cloud architecture for all existing and new services and platforms.
2. Design and build end-to-end cloud architectures.
3. Reduce the “time to market” for business initiatives by providing digital technology solutions based on Azure cloud services and capabilities.
4. Understand and recommend utilization of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, SaaS) based on business requirements to simplify application architecture and operating models.

Qualifications and Skills

You should demonstrate a good understanding of the Azure cloud adoption and well-architected frameworks, with experience in scaled cloud migration and data centre exit programs. Knowledge of architecture models, principles, and standards (TOGAF, Zachman), project management (waterfall, agile), and service management (ITIL) is essential. Azure cloud certification and exposure to other cloud providers like AWS are highly desirable.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep), CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Version Control (Git), Scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI), and Automation (PowerAutomate) is highly desirable. Familiarity with Entra ID, virtual network topologies, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, VPN, Web Application Firewall, App Services, API Management, databases, Data Factory, Databricks, PowerBI, and other Azure services is preferred.
