TechTrend, Inc. seeks an experienced Google Cloud Architect to modernize cloud and cybersecurity capabilities for a major U.S. Government customer.

You will design and implement secure, scalable GCP environments, manage IAM, networking, and CI/CD pipelines, and champion DevSecOps practices across on-premises and cloud deployments. The role requires hands-on GCP expertise, strong security governance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a hybrid/Reston, VA environment. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud architecture, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions in Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of GCP architecture, networking, security, IAM, monitoring, and governance.
• Experience designing secure VPC architectures, load balancing, DNS, NAT, VPNs, and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience developing or supporting CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or comparable tools.
• Experience working in DevOps or DevSecOps environments.
• Experience supporting cloud security and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder-collaboration skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Lawful permanent resident (Green Card Holder)
• Must reside within commuting distance of Reston, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Partner with lead engineers and architects to design advanced, cloud-based architectures that deliver new cybersecurity capabilities.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available Google Cloud environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business teams, development teams, and IT professionals to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Design and manage GCP networking, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), load balancers, Cloud NAT, DNS, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity with on-premises environments.
• Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), service accounts, organizational policies, and access controls.
• Implement cloud security controls using Google Cloud Security Command Center and related security services.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Support DevOps and DevSecOps practices across cloud environments.
• Develop cloud solutions involving microservices, serverless technologies, APIs, artificial intelligence and machine learning, advanced analytics, and enterprise collaboration tools.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, scalability, performance, and cost.
• Create and maintain documentation covering cloud architecture, infrastructure configurations, security controls, and operational procedures.
• Participate in Agile Scrum activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the solution-development lifecycle.
• Adapt to evolving priorities and contribute to initiatives that may extend beyond the initial scope of the position.

TechTrend, Inc. is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Architect to support the modernization of cloud and cybersecurity capabilities for a major U.S. Government customer.

In this role, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, Agile development teams, and business stakeholders to design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on GCP architecture experience with expertise in cloud security, networking, infrastructure as code, and DevSecOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related technical field.
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification.
• Experience with Google Cloud Security Command Center.
• Experience with Orca Security, Apigee, Splunk, Jenkins, and Git.
• Experience with AI/ML, IoT, advanced analytics, open-source technologies, microservices, and serverless architecture.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government customers or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of applicable security frameworks, such as NIST, FedRAMP, or Zero Trust principles.

Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (preferred) or any additional GCP specialty certifications (ML Engineer, Security Engineer)
