Job Title: Cloud Architect at TieTalent

About the Role

We are seeking a Digital Platform Architect/Engineer to lead our efforts in Cloud, Continuous Integration & Delivery, and DevOps practices. This role involves setting strategy and providing hands-on engineering to support multiple Agile software delivery teams. The candidate should be eager to solve hard problems, guide developers on security, automation, and cloud architecture, and work closely with security, Infrastructure, Risk, Middleware, and other teams to embed DevOps practices throughout the value chain.

Primary Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, and support patterns and implementation details for Event Sourcing (ES) and Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS).
• Work with legacy infrastructure and new projects, providing reference implementations and sample repositories, including testing libraries, Docker Compose setups, and log standards.
• Automate infrastructure to enable deployment to non-production clouds.
• Promote understanding of Security, Cloud, CI/CD, and DevOps principles across teams.
• Serve as a technical expert in application development and cloud architecture, with deep knowledge in Security and Implementation details.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in Java, Clojure, Scala, Node.js, iOS (Swift), Android, Ruby, or Python.
• Experience with distributed cloud architecture, specifically AWS services like EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Kinesis.
• At least 2 years of experience with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka.
• At least 2 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, AWS AMI, and CloudFormation.
• Experience integrating security into solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Slack, Jenkins, and static analysis tools.
• Bachelor's degree or 10-15 years of IT experience in lieu of a degree.

Additional Skills

• Experience with AWS Lambda, Kafka, Docker Compose, and Agile methodologies.
