Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Application Security Engineer for AWS Security. You will perform application security reviews, run penetration tests, conduct research, and contribute to security training for internal teams.

You’ll help craft guidance, tools, and metrics to strengthen cloud security across AWS services. The role emphasizes secure coding, threat modeling, and collaboration with developers while supporting recruiting and program needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar OO language
• 2+ years scripting, programming, and security code review (non-internship)
• 2+ years troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating tasks with CLI
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or 2+ years IT security experience
• Knowledge of HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP networking
• Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
